The ethos of BLD has always been ‘strength in members.’(‘‘United we stand, divided we fall’’). Individually we may be strong but united, we are invincible! It is important that every member supports every BLD product. ‘A la carte’ membership is not acceptable as it weakens our overall negotiating strength when we negotiate with Insurers.

We believe strongly that BLD insurers should make profit on each of our products. Of course, we also insist that BLD members should participate in a share of that profit by means of a profit share arrangement. This way we will have a long lasting arrangement with each insurer, which is profitable for both sides, our clients benefit by means of reduced premiums and wider policy cover, so this is a ‘win-win-win’ situation.
